Using a Mobile Phone While Driving
If you are caught driving while using a mobile device you are committing an offence and can receive one of the following punishments: -
Fixed Penalty Notice of £100 and 6 penalty points
£1000 fine and 6 penalty points
£2500 fine (if driving a coach or any other heavy goods vehicle) and 6 penalty points
Sadly, all too often mobile phone use is linked to serious road traffic accidents. We recommend that you never use your mobile device while driving.
